Documentary Family Portraits
Hello!
I am a documentary and portrait photographer currently based in West Seattle. Born and raised in Topanga, California, I moved to New York when I was 19 to pursue a career as a photographer. I received a B.F.A. in Photography from Parsons School of Design and began shooting for publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and People Magazine. My photojournalistic background informs my approach to portrait sessions and events. I strive to capture intimate moments without being obtrusive.
As a mother myself, I am sensitive to each family's needs: I can create a calm and quiet environment for an expecting mother and newborn or a fun atmosphere of laughter and games for a kid who just can't sit still. Every shoot is unique and I will adapt to any situation.
